Founded by Mary Frances Morris, Canine Behavioral Services Is Dedicated to Helping Solve Canine Behavioral problems with Real World Solutions, Based in Southwest Florida.
The most effective dog training occurs when I help bring awareness to pet owners. In this way, owners can partner with me and their dog to be successful!
Meet the Founder & Director of Training
Mary Frances Morris, BA, CPDT-KA
Mary-Frances Morris has a passion for animals and learning. She has been helping people and working in the field of behavior for over 20+ years. Throughout that time she has obtained a Bachelors Degree in Psychology (learning theory) from the University of South Florida, obtained her board certification as an Associate Behavior Analyst with the State of Florida (BCABA). She also worked hard to obtained her CPDT-KA, Knowledge Assessed Certified Professional Dog Trainer.
She is a certified professional dog training and behavior specialist through Starmark Dog Trainers Academy, a Mentor Trainer for Animal Behavior College (ABC) and CATCH Dog Trainers Academy and an AKC Canine Good Citizen Evaluator. It is safe to say she is a believer of ongoing learning.
She enjoys helping pet owners understand WHY the dog does what it does and WHAT their dogs are communicating to them.
Welcoming all breeds, she has spent years learning and applying different methodologies of dog training and finds positive reinforcement training is the most fun and beneficial way to train your dog to become a well-behaved family member.
We design our training plans using LIMA (least invasive minimally aversive). Each team and situation is unique and deserves an unique plan designed for their individual needs!

There are many methodologies to training animals. We pride ourselves in using
humane methods by using positive reinforcement as our foundation to train your
pet. We are L.I.M.A. trainers which means: Least Intrusive Minimally Aversive.
Costs depend on the individual needs. We have researched the industry and find
our costs to be very competitive. It is best to contact us directly to decipher your
needs.
The guarantee comes from you and how much homework you put into your pets training. When working with animals there are no guarantees. Please refer to the breaks down in our policies and procedures for more details.
Each animal learns at their own pace because each one has their own personality. Typically, one dog can learn multiple behaviors in one day, but in order to retain new behaviors/habits, it take 3 – 6 months for dogs to access long term memory.
Yes, We can train your pets to use the bathroom in a designated location, i.e. outside, training pads,
potty patches, etc.
We work with all breeds at all ages. As well as handicap dogs.
Yes, We have worked with reactive and aggressive dogs for over 15 years. These dogs are very
individual and need a specific plan customized for them and their environment.

Training starts immediately with puppies. I like to start at 10 weeks of age.
Your pet is not too old to train. They need mental stimulation as much as older humans do.
IACP (International Association of Canine Professionals), APDT (Association of
Professional Dog Trainers, AKC – CGC (American Kennel Club – Canine Good
Citizen), ABC College (Animal Behavior College), and C.A.T.C.H TRAINERS ACADEMY.
We are AKC Trainers and Evaluators.
YES, we work with all types of behaviors. You will need to contact us directly to discuss behavioral issues and set up a free phone consultation.
- Payments for TRAINING PROGRAMS are due upfront before services are rendered.
- Boarding or daycare is due at time of pick up, unless it is a long-term board. Long Term boarding requires 20% deposit.
- Boarding and Training Program requires a 20% deposit and then final payment upon picking up your pet.
- Payments can be received via: Check, Cash, or credit card via PayPal
Cancellation is required 24 hours in advance. There are no refunds for last minute cancellations. You will be charged the full rate
We do not offer refunds. It is your responsibility to review our agreement and our policies; however, we do believe in being fair. Any refunds offered are treated on an individual basis.
